Notice of Schoolwide Title I Program
Eligibility School Year 2025-2026
Dear Hoover Families,
Our school receives Title I, Part A funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (2015). As a result, we operate a Schoolwide Title I Program.
In a Schoolwide Title I Program, eligibility is based on the percentage of students from low-income families. This designation allows us to use Title I resources to strengthen our educational programs, so that all students benefit. With input from parents and our community, our staff develops and reviews a comprehensive Schoolwide Plan to guide continuous improvement.
Throughout the year, you will receive information about your child’s academic progress and about our school’s progress toward helping all students meet high academic standards. You will also receive invitations to meetings and events about the Title I Schoolwide Program and activities, and you will be asked to help review, revise, and implement our plans. In addition to the Schoolwide Plan, we share our Parent & Family Engagement Plan and the Compact, which describe how we partner with families to support learning.
Title I includes funds set aside specifically to support family partnership (ex. workshops, learning resources, academic events, etc.). Each year, we seek your input through surveys, the Title I meetings, and parent advisory discussions on how these funds should be used. Your feedback directly shapes the activities and the support we provide for families.
You are an important partner in our effort to provide the best education possible for your child.
Sincerely,
David S. Glennon, Ph.D.
